Tiger Woods might have been suffering from excruciating pain during the final rounds of the World Golf Championship – Cadillac Championship last weekend but it seems that no pain is enough to keep him from teeing off on one of his favorite courses with plans already underway for him to participate in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
Apparently, Woods is working extremely hard to get back into shape and be ready for action to defend his title at the Bay Hill course, where he has won the title for a whopping eight times.
Mark Steinberg, the agent of the American golfer spoke to the media recently and he stated that Tiger is getting treatment and he is working to getting himself in a good place for the event and he expects to be a part of the field at Bay Hill. And this news will come as a massive boost for the event with another legendary golfer Phil Mickelson already withdrawing from the tournament due to family issues.
And that announcement however, did not come as a surprise for many considering the fact that his win last year was his eighth at the Florida course and he is looking at this event to provide some practice ahead of the Masters tournament next month.
The problems with his back have persisted for quite some time. It first occurred during The Barclays last August and flared up again during the final rounds of the Honda Classic and he had to withdraw from the tournament in the final round.
He looked in visible pain while playing at the World Golf Championship – Cadillac Championship last week and he grabbed his back several times, with the agony clear in his face but he will work hard to get over it and be a part at Bay Hill.
